Al Fresco Dining - Lemon & Limes Party Ideas

Al Fresco dining is always a treat. Why not create a really special table setting for your guests. A romantic garden style that your guests will be in awe of. It will take you a maximum of half an hour to put together. Anyone can do this even if you haven’t got a creative bone in your body.

Decor

The more greenery, fruit, flowers and candles that you can get on this table the better. Then you hardly need anything else. However, the fruit will be cut in half so it will go a long way, so regardless it will look full.

Items you will need

Here is a list of things I’ve used, But you can go with whatever you have available. Mix and match as much or as little as you want.

  • Plates (West Elm)
  • Napkins (Zara Home)
  • Cutlery (Zara Home)
  • Wine glasses
  • Water glasses
  • Leaf shaped plates 
  • Church candles 
  • Olive branches, eucalyptus works well too
  • Lemons, limes & oranges whole & sliced
  • White bud flowers
  • Rope to hand tie fresh bread with a sprig of rosemary

Hand painted lemons with water based acrylic paints with words of inspiration. You could also use this as your name place cards.

You can even have a tray with lemons, paint, & brushes ready for your guests to arrive. Let them get painting! Once decorated add to the table. They will love to be involved and it will be a perfect conversation starter. You could ask your guests to paint the answer to a question on their lemon. Questions like this: What’s your favourite film?
