The Rainbowwave office space where the event was hosted was a Social Kitchen Dream. When we walked in, we were welcomed with an abundance of natural light, clean and minimal clothing rails. The pièce de résistance for me were the double doors opening onto a terrace which lined Camden’s canal- I will have an office space like this soon, watch this space!
I wanted to create a table which offered true Social Kitchen style in the way that I placed the food. I wanted to spread the food down the middle of the entire table, placed freely for diners to pick and choose what, and how much they’d like to plate.
Along with savory options, I wanted to include lots of options for those who have a sweet tooth too. This classic victoria sponge cake decorated with edible flowers really looked the part and was gone by end of the event.
Making sure that there are plenty of healthy options in a spread is so important to me. Plenty of fruit and lots of veggies is key to a well-balanced buffet, leaving diners feeling good about what they are eating and wouldn’t think twice about taking a larger slice of the showstopper cake.
Who could resist biting into a juicy, soft and ripe strawberry then a cold snap of good quality dark chocolate? I can’t think of a better combination which is why I added a selection of decadent chocolates alongside dark cherries, raspberries and in season strawberries- So delicious.
