Its Only The Beginning

After I have set the table for an event and my job is done. I realise that it is all about to really start.

Creative Thinking

When I’m asked to design a table for a brand, I always study the aesthetics of the brand to see what I can pull from it. This could be something to do with the colours and textures or it could simply be the tone.

The Details

Feed Me 2 is a company that delivers fresh meals to doorsteps. It’s a cheerful, inviting brand therefore I wanted the table to have a warm, homey feel to it, whilst still maintaining inspiring visual qualities. After all, the most important thing is that it photographs well (Instagram worthy). The colour scheme I decided on was all shades of white. I had to be careful that it didn’t end up looking like a wedding table so I used a natural hessian tablecloth, which brought down the level of formality. I decorated the table with pillar candles and tea lights, glass charger plates with a beaded edge and gold cutlery, which is always a fun and surprising touch. The flowers are what really made the table look so fresh and inviting. I used arrangements of peonies, roses, lisianthus and hydrangeas, to name a few. The cream runner down the middle made the centre decorations stand out that much more. As a final and personal touch, I added lemons and limes to represent the fresh ingredients that Feed Me 2 use in their meals. It was a fun day and I was thrilled with the outcome!
