CINNAMON POACHED BREAKFAST PEARS

There’s nothing yummier than a sweet breakfast! Poached pears are a great way to start off the day. They are a fruit after all! These are perfect to serve at a brunch, or if you want to treat yourself or someone special.

Ingredients

5 tbsp Yogurt 

5 tbsp Crumble

6 Pears

3 cups Water

1 cup Sugar

4 tbsp Golden Syrup 

Hand full Pecans

Method

Place all of the ingredients, except the pears, into a large pot and allow to simmer on a medium heat. Peel the pears leaving the stalks intact. I like to cut some in half and leave others whole, for purely aesthetic reasons! If you do decide to cut some of the pears, scoop out the pips with a melon baller or spoon. Add the pears to the pot and allow them to boil lightly for around 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can always reheat, once the pears are soft.
